# $REBEL Token

While participation on the Rebellion platform is open to all users via stablecoins like USDC or USDT (on Ethereum and Solana), the $REBEL token provides powerful incentives for deeper community engagement and long-term alignment.

* **Fee Discounts**\
  Users who choose to pay contest entry fees in $REBEL receive a **10–15% discount**, compared to using USDC/USDT.
* **Staking Rewards**\
  A share of the platform’s revenue is distributed to $REBEL stakers, rewarding long-term supporters and contributors.
* **Buyback & Burn Mechanism**\
  Platform fees collected in all currencies are used to buy back $REBEL tokens from the open market. These tokens are either burned (reducing supply) or distributed to active stakers, ensuring sustainable value accrual.
* **Governance Participation (Coming Soon)**\
  In future stages, $REBEL holders will govern aspects of the platform, including game formats, payout structures, and treasury allocation.

**Is Paying with $REBEL Worth It?**

Users paying entry fees with $REBEL get a **10–15% discount**.

* If a user enters 10 leagues/month at $10 each = $100 in stablecoin fees
* Paying in $REBEL = $85–$90 total (saving $10–15)

**Break-Even Analysis:**

* If $REBEL trades at $0.05, you need to use \~1,700 tokens/month to save $10
* If you buy $REBEL early and stake unspent tokens, **net benefit exceeds rebates** in <2 months

### 📝 Note on Tokenomics

The full tokenomics (total supply, allocation, and vesting) will be finalized in collaboration with early backers and advisors based on fundraising milestones. Our immediate focus is on delivering real-world utility and traction, with token design serving that mission—not the other way around.
